Compact dual-path microphone/instrument preamplifier that is capable of a stunningly wide range of tones and offers two independent channels, each with a high-headroom XMAX Class A solid-state preamp with 80dB gain range followed in the signal path by a 12AX7 vacuum-tube stage. A Tube Drive control provides a wide range of sounds: when clicked off, user is using the solid-state preamp for quiet, transparent amplification; when engaged, the signals flow through the tube preamp, and user can achieve anything from gentle warmth to edgy distortion. Equipped with two balanced combo mic/unbalanced instrument inputs, two balanced XLR main (L/R) line outputs and two unbalanced 6.3mm main (L/R) line outputs, it is a great choice for guitarists, bassists and singer/songwriters. The preamplifier further offers 48V phantom power for use with condenser microphones, 80Hz high-pass filter, -20 dB pad to reduce hot input levels, polarity-reverse switch and illuminated analogue VU input-level meter.
