Compact, easy-to-install centrally amplified master reference monitor from 7 Series for next generation multi-channel monitoring in post rooms, broadcast facilities and trucks that deliver detailed imaging, extended frequency response and remarkable output from compact enclosure. It features the patent-pending Image Control Waveguide design which precisely controls the sound emanating from the speaker in the vertical and horizontal planes ensuring the presentation at the listening position is neutral and accurate. It allows for a seamless crossover and uncoloured response in the critical dialog range, neutral off-axis response for greater accuracy and room-to-room consistency, and detailed imaging and a coherent transition between screen channels, surrounds and overhead speakers. Meeting the dynamic range and extended frequency response requirements of today’s production formats, the monitor incorporates JBL next generation “Super Drivers.” The 2409H High Frequency transducer incorporates an innovative low-mass annular diaphragm that delivers smooth response beyond 40 kHz, with extraordinary output and very low distortion. The 728G 8” high-excursion low frequency driver delivers continuously high output with minimal power compression and low frequency response into the 30Hz range. Centralized amplification and processing eliminates the requirement for power source at each speaker location (when used in a sound system). Compact birch plywood reinforced enclosure and mounting hardware (top, bottom and rear mounting points, 2-hole mounting pattern) further allow versatile mounting options and unobstructed sight lines.
