The 45mm nut width also makes it ideal for fingerstyle playing. Offered in various models with solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, solid European spruce top with Madagascar rosewood back and sides and solid red cedar top with blackwood back and sides, the Grand Regal Series offers variety of choices to suit virtually any musical style and taste. With dimensions of 93*112mm body depth, upper bout width at 292mm and lower bout width at 405mm, the Grand Regal's body size is perfectly in between the large Dreadnought and the more intimate Grand Concert. This makes the Grand Regal ideal for both strumming/flatpicking and fingerstyle playing and suits the versatile acoustic player who prefers to have one guitar to cover a variety of sounds and playing styles. With bell-like clarity over a broad sonic spectrum, the solid European spruce top's transparent character is ideal for both sensitive fingerstyle playing and relaxed strumming techniques. The richness of ethereal overtones is the defining essence of this premium sought-after wood featured on this model. Crafted out of water buffalo bone for the most natural and transparent transfer of string vibrational energy into the body and neck. A slightly wider nut width that makes it easier for fingerstyle playing. Very similar in look and sonic character as Brazilian rosewood, the Madagascar rosewood has reddish grains which help it stand out from various rosewood species. Brighter with less bass than Indian rosewood, the Madagascar features more high-end presence and sparkle with more liveliness and immediate tactile response.
