Electro-acoustic guitar with dreadnought body shape from Earth series that is a homage to the great vintage acoustic guitar and represents the look, sound, feel and playability of those fine instruments with uncompromising quality. Ideal for both flat-picking and finger-style players, it features solid Adirondack spruce top with advanced scalloped Adirondack X-bracing and mahogany back and sides. Stronger and denser than Sitka spruce, the Adirondack spruce is characterized by broad dynamics as well as articulation and smoothness at high volume. The elastic tactile response suits both aggressive strumming and precise flat-picking. Adirondack spruce bracing further sets apart the unique sound and response of this exceptional wood. The difficult-to-source Adirondack spruce was famously used on the sought-after vintage Martin dreadnoughts of the 1930’s. Bright yet natural with a strong and warm midrange, the beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades. The solid mahogany back also enhances body resonance and helps produce greater volume. The body features the vintage-style Sunburst colour design that is somewhat different from the teardrop-style sunburst – it harkens back to the look and vibe of the bygone golden era of guitar making. It also feature the high-tech, sonically enhanced UV finish is strong and resistant to scratches while being lightweight to improve the natural acoustic resonance of the body for a full-bodied and rich tone. The mahogany neck connected to the body via dovetail joint and is fitted with rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and dot inlays. Scale length is 643 mm, nut width is 43 mm. The guitar features the Fishman Sonitone preamp that is installed internally without cutting out any of the woods, retaining all the natural resonance and the pure acoustic sound that other systems cannot. The controls are simple to use as well with only Volume and Tone. This preamp system is combined with the Sonicore pickup for ultimate Fishman sound. The instrument further features Grover tuners with vintage-style look and tuning stability that complement the overall classic look of this model. Nut fret and saddle are crafted out of water buffalo bone for the most natural and transparent transfer of string vibrational energy into the body and neck. Other features include a rosewood bridge, black body binding and D’Addario EXP16 strings.
