Swamp Ash surrounds a Mahogany neck, resulting in a tone that lends itself well to contemporary playing styles. This configuration reinforces the body and neck to compensate drop-tuning/higher string tension, and also allows for improved resonance across the lower frequencies. Ebony is used for the fretboard, adding an element of brightness and clarity to the mix. This also makes for smooth playability, especially thanks to the carved body, deep cutaways and rolled fretboard edges. Dual-loaded with Chapman Passive Aggressive Ceramic humbuckers, the ML1 RS delivers full-tilt metal tones in spectacular fashion.
